Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

Hi everyone! So today I'm going to tell you about the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara! I'm not sure if you've heard of it, or if you have and haven't bought it yet I wanted to tell you about it.

Just to let you know my lashes are short, slightly delicate and you can't see them even with a coat of normal mascara. Needless to say, I had very high expectations for this mascara because I had been referred by a friend off of my Twitter account and I am happy to say that YES this mascara does work . I'd say that I've been using this mascara for about 3 months and it's working great!

At first, it did nothing for me at all but I as I got used to making time to really apply my makeup daily my lashes were able to learn and cooperate and now the lash potion is great. I guess, like with any makeup, it takes your body a little while to adjust to something new but now it's perfect.

I definitely recommend this, if you already put makeup on daily like I have gotten into the habit of doing then you shouldn't have any issues and if you haven't I still recommend it. Just try it, it totally works!

PS sorry I haven't been on in months, I've been very busy but reviews are coming up soon!

Your Inner Audrey

Audrey Hepburn was and still is an idol for women across the world. Who doesn't want to eat croissants in front of Tiffany's and go home to a fabulous apartment and wear little black dresses and big pearls and sunglasses and smoke from a long stick?

Okay, so maybe you don't plan on smoking from a long stick but you do plan on showing others your inner Audrey Hepburn or Holly GoLightly right? So to do that I suggest dressing up! A classic LBD (little black dress) and a strand (or three) of pearls should set you off right. Pick out shoes, maybe something flat or maybe something beautifully fierce, a bracelet in silver and you're hair should be up or whatever you want. Maybe just for the Hell of it you'll wear the crown too!  Say darling frequently, giggle like you're having the time of your life (which you very well may be) and never let a boy get you down.

So say you and him danced like Cinderella and Charming the night before and he hasn't sent you a text? Maybe you kissed and he hasn't called? Maybe you had the flutters about him and now you can't seem to find him? Don't worry about it honey! Guys are a dime a dozen and if he can't see that you are amazing and beautiful and how lucky he would be to have you then oh well. Because Audrey wouldn't worry about him darling, find someone else.

The Importance of Primer

Hey guys! It's been awhile soooo I want to take the time to talk about something very important in cosmetics and beauty : Primer.

You guys don't understand how much I absolutely adore primer and why I love it the way I do. First of all let me just say that their are different types of primers from different companies and they can be used on different places on your face. Eye primer is used to blank out your skin tone so that you're eyeshadow and liner can be seen just as the company wanted it to be : the true color. Face primer is for your face (obviously) and it moisturizes and prepares your face for make up. My personal take on primer is that it blocks and protects your skin from the chemicals in make up formulas while also taking away the stain that your skin has had to endure due to non-use of primer.

I'll be posting videos of primers that I've heard of just so that you can get a feel of what they do and how they work, the prices and what to expect from the product.

3 Reasons Why I Adore Tinted Moisturizer!

I absolutely adore tinted moisturizer because:

1. It moisturizes your skin and protects it from sunlight

2. It eliminates the need for Concealer and foundation

3. It's perfectly pigmented and it's great when you're going natural with just mascara and lip balm or if you're looking for a nude color in your make up.!

Also if up sick and you don't feel like putting on make up whatsoever , just swipe this on and you look fresh faced and ready!

My EyesLipsFace (E.L.F.) Make-Up Experience

Hi guys! So recently I've been really into make-up. I mean before I was always into it but it was really just a mild affection. Now I've become almost obsessed with these products.

EyesLipsFace is a company that specializes in all things for the eyes, the lips, and the face (eyeslipsface.com) . They have "zit zappers" which tighten pores and deliver a mild refreshing formula to the spot that you want to take care of. They also have "Shimmering Facial  Whip" which acts as an all over highlighter that can go on your lips, your cheeks, and your eyes. It's just a really great highlighter that has a small tip so that you don't use too much and the product lasts longer. But another great highlighter is the "All Over Cover Stick" which is just like the facial whip in that it highlights and draws in focus to anywhere that you want it to.
Now since I'm so obsessed with this make-up line I decided to challenge the cover stick to the facial whip and the results were actually very good. I like the look of having a lighter inset to your eyes and as you get to the outer lid there's a darker version of the color. I think it's very cute and versatile with any color. So essentially the Color Stick is a solid version of the facial whip. They're both the same price ($1) and you can get them at your nearest Target store or eyeslipsface.com

I used a Burnt Plum in their baked eyeshadow collection ($2) and bought a Professional Blending Eye Brush ($1) . To get this look I washed my face, and then  moisturized it ; I always use this Equate Advanced Recovery Lotion and I wait for about 5 minutes for it to set in and properly moisturize my face. After that I use my CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder in Classic Tan which blends in well with my skin color. Then I use the EyesLipsFace Eye Primer And Liner Sealer which really works well to keep creases out of your make-up so that you don't have to freshen up as much in the day. Then I set my face with this powder, I'm not really sure what brand it is but it works great and I just brush it on all over. After that I use my Blending Brush or a sponge and use either the Facial Whip or the Cover Stick to make the inset lighter, after I've gotten the degree of lightness that I want I then apply my eyeshadow with the Professional EyeShadow Brush   that is also from EyesLipsFace I make sure that the color is lighter and then apply an eyeliner that is not by EyesLipsFace , usually brown, and the Revlon Plumping Mascara which makes my lashes look longer and fuller. And after that I'm ready to go! Thank you for reading and I'll post a video of both the Facial Whip and the All Over Color Stick and hopefully find one that uses my technique for highlighting.

Sonder: The Definition And What It Means To Me

Hey, hello, how you doing?! It's been awhile since I last updated my blog but there's an interesting topic that I'd like to talk about today. It's called "sonder" ; the urban dictionary defines it as " the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own" . The word itself was found by myself from one the many people that I follow on Twitter, who had a picture of the word and it's definition over a gray skyline.

When I saw this word and read it's definition I was surprised that there was a word that encapsulated how I felt when I was on a street or in a dark room with many people. It's so amazing to see what amazing work God has done and how's he's sewn our lives together. For example, a woman's random act of kindness could inspire other random acts that could stretch as far as helping children in Africa that could someday become the next great scientist who discovers the cure for all cancers and helps the world to become less sorrow-filled.

To me, sonder is the awareness of humanity, that someone else is living their life everyday; that they have a conscience, that they struggle and have humanity in them as well. Sonder captures everything that I've ever felt about the the human race which makes this word so special to me.

The Ampersand and Tattoos: My Views

The Ampersand, also known as the " and sign " is known to many to be something different . To me, it's just something that I discovered a few months ago when I was bored and , as usual, perusing through Pinterest.

I saw many types of ampersand's but what spoke to me the most was the face that, when turned on it's side, the ampersand represented a heart. I love signs and symbols, hearts especially.

I'm in love with the idea of love and to get a tattoo representing it is amazing to me. I'm also a big fan of tattoos, so when I heard that there were also such a thing as an "ampersand tattoo".  I HAD to view some of the pictures and I fell in love with a few of them.

I'm a writer at heart and the fact that one of my favorite tattoos also has a question mark to complete the heart is really cool. In script it looks like "&?" which is also like asking "and?" It sounds sassy and full of attitude, all in all a very playful tattoo. Unlike most of the other stereotypes that give tattoos a bad name.

Tattoos aren't always hardcore and grungy, they can be delicate or meaningful. I've always wished that people could understand that. Every tattoo isn't rushed and "heat of the moment" some people wait their whole lives building portfolios of tattoos that they want to get all over they're body while others give themselves only minuscule tattoos. Personally, I believe that people should have the right to choose whether or not they get one and if so how many. We shouldn't have to be afraid of what other people say and let that sway our choices.
